Make your drives fun again with the brand-new 2017 Toyota Corolla iM! Formerly known as the Scion iM, the five-door compact sedan adds more versatility and style to the already ultra-popular Corolla lineup.
Aside from its roomy cabin, this hot hatch comes well-equipped with standard features that are more commonly found in high-end luxury cars. To kick things off, it comes with a six-speaker Pioneer audio system, which will play from a variety of sources, including iPods. Drivers can navigate it through the car’s 7-inch touchscreen that also comes with HD Radio and Aha. In addition, there’s a leather-wrapped steering wheel that features easy-to-use switches for audio and hands-free calling.
State-of-the-art standard features continue with the iM’s dual-zone automatic A/C control and color-keyed heated power-folding mirrors that are able to melt frost in a hurry.
Adding to the vehicle’s outside visual pop is an assortment of vibrant color schemes for buyers to choose from: Blizzard Pearl, Classic Silver Metallic, Black Sand Pearl, Barcelona Red Metallic, Spring Green Metallic and Electric Storm Blue. Sharp-eyed headlights and a piano black grille treatment can also be found on every iM model.
A 1.8-liter four-cylinder powerplant can be found underneath the hood. It makes 137 horsepower and is responsible for the car’s punchy acceleration. A 6-speed stick shift comes standard, however, there’s also an available automatic transmission. Both configurations come with Hill Start Assist, which helps prevent roll-back when moving forward from a fixed position on an incline. For better handling around curves and on bumps, a double-wishbone rear suspension is matted to the car’s sophisticated chassis.
