You’ll now have even more options when it comes time to buy a brand-new 2017 Toyota 4Runner. That’s because the automaker has added two new grades to the sporty SUV, which include TRD Off-Road and TRD Off-Road Premium. Both trims offer unique TRD (Toyota Racing Development) branding to further enhance your off-road adventures.
“4Runner owners often take their SUVs off the beaten path, so these new TRD Off-Road grades will be a popular recognition of TRD’s history in the off-road arena,” said John Myers, National Manager, trucks and SUVs, Toyota.
The 2017 Toyota 4Runner will be offered in six trims: SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited and TRD Pro. Outside, the new TRD Off-Road 4Runner gets black painted wheels and a one-of-a-kind TRD Off-Road badge on the C-pillar.
Inside, there’s a sporty TRD Shift Knob that can be found just underneath the center console. The floor mats also feature the TRD Off-Road designation, adding to the signature style of this rugged Toyota. “TRD” red lettering on the front passenger and driver headrests can also be had on the TRD Off-Road Premium.

No matter what trim you choose, though, the Toyota 4Runner was built to conquer all your outdoor excursions. Even the entry-level SR5 comes standard with off-road equipment like mud guards and skid plates. Step up to the higher trims and you’ll get advanced electronic aids for more precise off-roading.
A rowdy SUV that has stayed true to its roots, the 2017 4Runner is the perfect pick for those who are looking to get the most out of their drive and the great outdoors.
We expect the 2017 4Runner to arrive at Crown Toyota this fall. In the meantime, check out our inventory of brand-new 2016 4Runner models online. When you’re finished, stop by and we’ll arrange a test drive!
