What's New For The 2019 Toyota Camry

After being completely redesigned in 2018, the Camry just continues on with its excellent style, drive, and features this year. This new generation is designed to keep drivers on the edge of their seat in the best way. One new feature to note is the Apple CarPlay, which now comes standard. An exciting option for drivers in 2019 will be Amazon Alexa compatibility.

Multiple Trims with Luxury Features

There are 5 different trims available for the 2019 Camry. You have the L, LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. Coming standard on all levels will be two 1st row LCD monitors. You also get keyless entry and driver lumbar support. Front-wheel drive is standard on all trim levels as well.

If you decide to move up to the LE, you get 17" silver aluminum wheels. Drivers of the SE get 18" machined w/painted accents aluminum wheels as well as leather trim on the seats. The XLE has many luxurious features, including 18" machined aluminum wheels. Drivers of this trim get heated seats and mirrors, SiriusXM AM/FM/HD/Satellite radio, and lumbar support for both front seats. The main difference between the XLE and XSE is the wheels. On the XSE, drivers get 19" machined w/painted accents aluminum wheels.

Standard exterior features on the 2019 Camry include High Solar Energy-Absorbing (HSEA) glass, an acoustic noise-reducing front windshield, and an in-glass AM/FM antenna. Moving on to the interior, every Camry comes standard with an infotainment system. The screen size will vary depending on which trim level you go with. The information you can access on this screen includes the outside temperature, your average speed, and the fuel economy you are getting. Each Camry comes with a minimum of 1 USB port, while higher trim packages feature up to 3.

What's Under the Hood?

2019 Toyota CamryThe range in horsepower from the 2019 Camry varies considerably, depending on which trim level you go with. For the L, LE, SE, and XLE, drivers get a 203-hp, 2.5-liter I-4 engine. The next trim level up, the XLE, has a slight increase in power, with its 206-hp, 2.5-liter I-4. For both the XLE and XSE, drivers have the option of going with a 301-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. All of these engine options pair perfectly with the 8-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual transmission.

Advanced Safety Features

2019 Toyota CamryThere are a lot of great safety features in the Camry. Drivers get 10 airbags standard in an Advanced Airbag System. This system includes dual-stage SRS driver and front passenger airbags. An available safety option is Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. This system is designed to alert you if a car approaches your blind spot on either side. The Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is useful when the car is in reverse. If cross-traffic is detected, there is a warning tone as well as indicators on the side mirrors.

The Star Safety System offered on the 2019 Camry has 6 advanced features to keep you and your loved ones safe. Drivers get Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-Lock Brakes, Brake Assist, Smart Stop Technology, and Electronic Brake-Force distribution. All of these features are standard on the Camry.
