What's New For the 2019 Toyota Tacoma?

This year, the Tacoma is ready for some serious off-road action. There's also a newly optional snorkel high-mounted air intake for the TRD Pro, designed to maximize performance as temperatures rise.

2019 Toyota Tacoma Impressive Trims & Features

There are six 2019 Toyota Tacoma trim levels, so all you have to do is decide which truck best suits your personal style and professional needs. Choose from the SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, and TRD Pro.

In the entry-level Tacoma SR, there's a lot to like. In addition to giving you the lowest MSRP, the SR also helps you stay safe with a long list of high-tech driver aids. These include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The SR comes standard with a dark grill and 16-inch steel wheels. Its sliding rear window is a nice touch. This truck also gives you some options, allowing you to add four-wheel drive for enhanced off-road performance.

Step up to the SR5 for a longer list of modern features. This Tacoma is flashier, with a chrome rear bumper and a charcoal-colored grille with chrome trim. It comes standard with fog lights for maximum visibility on a misty morning. The SR5 offers convenience with remote keyless entry and luxury with a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

In the TRD Sport, you'll find standard V6 power for max acceleration and premium performance on rugged terrain. If you add four-wheel drive, you can choose between the six-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmission. Outside, the TRD Sport features 17-inch alloy wheels and turn signals in the mirror housings. Its body-colored fender flares and rear bumper add a layer of style. If your TRD Sport features the automatic transmission, then it also gets push-button start and smart entry. Inside, you can use the Entune premium audio system and navigation features via the 7-inch touchscreen.

Upgrade to the TRD Off-Road for extra flair, with features that include a chrome rear bumper and textured black fender flares. This truck is off-road-ready, with features that include knobby all-terrain tires and extra skid plates. The lockable rear differential helps you move precisely through difficult terrain. The Bilstein monotube shocks and advanced off-road traction control system take off-road performance to the next level.

With the Limited, you'll enjoy world-class performance. This truck doesn't come with the TRD Off-Road's rugged upgrades, but it includes the Off-Road and Sport's optional features as part of its standard lineup.

Finally, there's the top-of-the-line TRD Pro. This pickup truck is stylish and capable. It adds to the TRD Off-Road lineup with a black grille that says "Toyota" in capital letters. When you hit your favorite trail, special Fox internal bypass shocks take capabilities to the next level.
