2022 Toyota C-HR Exterior

What's New for the 2022 Toyota C-HR

One of the most notable changes for the new year is that the C-HR is starting with the XLE as the base trim rather than the LE trim that was around previously. This indicates that Toyota is planning to have their lowest trim level be as luxurious as what their mid-level represented previously.

2022 C-HR Trims and Features

The first trim for this year is called the XLE. It has luxury options for features, including the six speakers and the 8-inch touch screen infotainment center. You have options like Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and more regarding technologies you might be interested in. You also get the integrated backup camera standard.

The vehicle also comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 Suite. Other features include the dual-zone automatic climate control so that you can have two different temperatures in two different areas in your vehicle. On top of that, you have the lane tracing option for more easily staying in your lane. There's the proximity key bob that unlocks your doors as soon as you approach your vehicle. There are also the auto high beams that work when you have dark conditions.

The next trim is called the Nightshade Edition. This one adds some aesthetic options, like the black 18-inch sports wheels. It also adds black door handles and the back roof option if you want it.

The Limited option is the highest trim. For this one, you get the heated front seats and the leather upholstery upgrade. You also get the adaptive headlights that make it, so your lights turn in the direction that the car is turning. You can also adjust your seat eight ways.

2022 Toyota C-HR Horsepower

The standard engine power comes in at 144hp from a 2.0 liter engine. Completing combustion with assistance from the Valvematic technology, the four-cylinder powertrain cranks out 139 pound-feet of torque. The C-HR's efficient powerplant is coupled with the Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode system. The sporty C-HR family car can run on the Eco, Normal, and Sport modes.

Toyota C-HR Safety

The options for safety in the vehicle include the auto emergency braking with the pedestrian detection option. Lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist are also standard. The adaptive cruise control with lane tracing assist is standard as well.
