Edmunds.com is one of the most trafficked auto review and news websites, and a long-time trusted resource for car shoppers. As such, being recognized by their editors is a true honor, which Toyota recently experienced when it received a multitude of awards from the esteemed publication. Edmunds not only named four of our models Top Rated Vehicles, but also featured several on their Most Popular list.
Starting with the Top Rated awards, Toyota's honorees included the 2014 Avalon, Sienna, Prius and Highlander. When selecting winners, Edmunds had a special team that spent months testing approximately 200 vehicles in areas such as safety, technology and performance. Those that received A ratings took home awards. For the Most Popular list, vehicles were selected based on how many times Edmunds.com visitors researched specific models. With data collected from the past calendar year, the top three vehicles in each category (i.e., those that car shoppers showed the most interest in) were crowned victors in their segments. Our winners included the Toyota Tundra (large truck), Toyota RAV4 (compact crossover), Toyota Avalon (large car), Toyota Sienna (minivan), Toyota Highlander (midsize crossover), Toyota Tacoma (compact pickup) and Toyota Camry (midsize car).
