The Decatur Family YMCA's 15th Annual New Year's Eve 5K Run/2K Walk will be held on the afternoon of Dec. 31, 2014. Whether your New Year's resolution includes losing weight or simply living a healthier lifestyle, this is a great way to get a jump on your 2015 goals. Plus, if you like getting free swag, register for the 5K or 2K race by Dec. 12 and you're guaranteed to receive a free commemorative long-sleeve race shirt!
The event will begin at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 and start at the Decatur Family YMCA, which is located on 220 W. McKinley Ave. The course will wind through the neighborhood, looping around locations like St. John's and our sister store, Crown Nissan, before heading back to the Y. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Strong Kids Campaign, a program dedicated to helping underprivileged children pay for camp regardless of their families' household incomes.
