The Toyota Camry has been named No. 1 on Cars.com’s American-Made Index. It’s the fifth time that it’s landed at the top of the list, which also includes the Toyota Sienna in second place! To make the list, at least 75 percent of a vehicle’s parts had to be domestic and assembly had to be performed in the U.S. Sales were also considered when determining which vehicle models were most American, too.

In all three of these areas the Camry excels. It’s been the best-selling car in the United States for 13 years straight, affirming its popularity with the American public. It’s also built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc., and not just the gas-powered model either. The Camry Hybrid, along with the Avalon and Avalon Hybrid, are assembled at the same plant.

Cars.com’s No. 2 winner, the Toyota Sienna, is built in America as well. It’s assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc., alongside the Sequoia, Highlander and Highlander Hybrid. Additionally, a large portion of the engineering and design for Camry and Sienna was completed in California and Michigan. In fact, the chief engineer for both vehicle models is American.

If you proudly purchase products manufactured in the United States, consider the Toyota Camry or Sienna the next time you’re in the market for a new vehicle!
