Miracle on McKinley Ave. - Eagle Ridge Christmas Tree Festival
Just around the corner on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, Decatur will host a fun-filled evening with live entertainment, food and holiday treats for visitors. Don’t miss the two-hour event, which runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 875 W. McKinley Ave.

2015 Santa’s House
Santa’s House is open at 210 N. Water St. in Downtown Decatur now through Christmas Eve. Take your little ones down to meet Jolly Old Saint Nick and his elves. Meet and greets are free as usual (donations accepted) and you won’t want to forget to bring your camera if you want to take selfies with Santa. Click here for hours.

A Christmas Carol at Decatur Civic Center
This family-friendly theater production is a Christmas favorite for young and old alike. Mid-Summer Moon Productions will be putting on three performances of the famous play at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 19 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 20. Tickets are only $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under.

Oakwood New Year’s Eve
Don’t hang out at home on New Year’s Eve when you could dance the night away at Lincoln Center, located on 141 N. Main St. in Decatur. The venue will have two stages and music from a long list of guests, including Sunshine Daydream, West End Steves, Vanilla Gorilla and others. It’s only $10 to attend. Must be 21 or older.

Miles to Miles New Year’s Eve 5K Race & Fun Run
If you want to do something fun before you party all night long, pull out your running shoes for the Decatur Family YMCA’s Miles to Miles New Year’s Eve race. If you make the best time in your division, you’ll win a prize. Plus, there will be free refreshments at the post-race event.
