Once again Toyota’s annual Dream Car Art Contest received awesome, exceptionally creative submissions, from which judges recently selected nine U.S. winners. These pieces will advance to the World Contest Semi-Finals, where they’ll be judged alongside art pieces from kids all over the world.
See art from the U.S. winners now! Images are posted below followed by a list of the winners’ names and rankings.
Children between the ages of 4 and 15 were asked to submit from Sept 22. through Dec. 13, 2014, and judges like actor/comedian Cheech Marin and Mike Groff, President & CEO, Toyota Financial Services, helped select winners. Along with getting a chance to compete for the grand prize, the young artists below also received iPad Minis and a special award certificate.
Each year, the goal of the contest is to engage youth and inspire them to think about the future of the mobility industry. What’s really amazing, in this and past years, is how many of the children are able to express concerns regarding the environment and other current issues, and envision imaginative ways to deal with modern problems.
Works were selected based on three primary criteria: artistry, uniqueness and execution of concept. We’d say these winning pieces excel in all three areas!
