The 2016 Toyota RAV4 is going on sale soon at Crown Toyota and this year’s lineup features wide-ranging changes that’ll have a positive impact on new buyers.

TRIM LEVELS
The gas-only RAV4 LE, XLE and Limited return accompanied by a sporty new SE trim level. The all-new 2016 RAV4 Hybrid also debuts this year and will be offered in XLE and Limited models.

2016 RAV4 SE
SE emphasizes sport, both in appearance and performance. When it comes to the former, it shows off slick 18-inch alloy wheels, vivid LED headlights and taillights, an upgraded front bumper, SofTex upholstery, red-accented gauges and two-tone paint options. As far as performance, SE buyers will enjoy an enhanced driving experience thanks to manual shift capability (via paddle shifters) and a sport-tuned suspension.

2016 RAV4 HYBRID
Green SUV shoppers have a premium new option. The 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is the perfect choice for Decatur drivers who want a crossover utility vehicle with carlike handling, sophisticated driving dynamics and high fuel economy. According to EPA estimates, the hybrid rates in at 34 mpg city/31 mpg highway, plus Toyota says it offers greater power than the gas-only powertrain. In addition, hybrid models come with an advanced Electronic On-Demand AWD-I system.

TOYOTA SAFETY SENSE
Standard on RAV4 Limited models, Toyota’s all-new TSS package comes with cutting-edge driver-assist systems that use laser radar and single-lens camera technology to enhance safety. TSS includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane departure warning and dynamic radar cruise control.

UPDATED DESIGN & FEATURES
On the exterior, there are new LED lights and front/rear skid plate garnishes on select models, as well as a standard shark fin antenna and revised wheel designs. In the cabin, luxury is amplified with the addition of more soft-touch materials and a leather-covered steering wheel that’s now standard on all but the base model. The center cupholder is also redesigned, so it can now accommodate taller coffee mugs, even ones with handles.

In addition, you can opt for the new Bird’s Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan, which is a nice add-on for anyone who wants to prevent accidents and possible body damage when parking in tricky situations.
