After taking a year off, the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is back and better than ever in 2019. All trim packages have a lot to love this year. Toyota has been busy working on making their Tundra lighter while giving it a bigger footprint. The fully galvanized steel body frame comes standard on all trims. The same is true of the black door handles and the black front and rear bumpers, making this a very eye-catching truck. On the inside, Toyota made it a point to give you and your passengers plenty of space. You get a 4.2-in. TFT Multi-Information Display (MID) that can give you all kinds of information, including your fuel economy, the outside temperature, average speed, and cruising range.
When shopping for the 2019 Tundra you can get 6 different trims. They are SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and the TRD Pro. All levels of the Tundra come with an Entune⢠Audio w/ 6.1-inch touchscreen. An easy lower and lift tailgate is coming standard for 2019.
Starting with the SR5, you can upgrade to a 38-gallon fuel tank. The SR5 also gives you satellite and HD radio. With the Limited trim, you get dual-zone climate control as well as heated power front bucket seats with leather trim. Platinum comes with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
The 1794 Edition has a western-themed interior that includes perforated premium brown leather seating. These seats are both heated and ventilated. You have the option of getting it with available 20-inch chrome-clad alloy wheels. This trim is priced at the same level as Platinum and comes with many of the same features.
For the return of the TRD Pro, Toyota is giving you 18-inch 5-spoke BBSĀ® forged aluminum wheels. You also get LED headlights as well as LED Daytime Running Lights. The integrated trailer brake controller makes this a great work-truck for the toughest of jobs.
The SR trim level gives you a 310-hp, 4.6-liter V-8 engine. You can get that same engine in the SR5, or go with the 381-hp, 5.7-liter V-8 . The Limited, Platinum, 1794, and TRD all come with the 381-hp, 5.7-liter V-8 engine. Each trim level has a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual.
Depending on the trim package you select, you can get anywhere from 6,800 to over 10,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity. Each trim comes with Toyota Direct Ignition and a standard stainless steel exhaust system.
There are a lot of standard features on the 2019 Tundra to help keep you and your loved ones safe. Toyota Safety Sense⢠comes with Lane Departure Alert, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Sway Warning System, and Automatic High Beams. On top of that, you have the Star Safety System⢠which gives you things like Anti-Lock Brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Brake Assist, and Smart Stop Technology. Throw in the eight airbags, seatbelt pretensioners with force limiters, and a Tire Pressure Monitor System, and you have a very safe truck.
