Christmas is coming early this year at Lincoln Square Theatre in Decatur, Illinois. On Saturday, November 19, 2016, local Decatur residents will have the chance to view a special showing of “A Christmas Carol” at the theatre in honor of the upcoming holiday season. Suitable for all age groups, this classic tale is a Christmas staple, so be sure to bring your family to this signature November event.

Over the years, a number of movies have been created around Charles Dickens’ popular novel about Ebenezer Scrooge and his encounters with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as he journeys to discover the Christmas spirit, with the most recent being an animated adaptation starring Jim Carrey. With this in mind, Lincoln Square Theatre will be choosing between three different versions to show during the viewing, which attendees can vote for on their website.

The chosen film will air between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and guests will be required to pay a small fee of $5 to see the evening’s movie. If you're unfamiliar with the tale, “A Christmas Carol,” we invite you to experience the magic of this wonderful, classic story and discover the true meaning of Christmas at Lincoln Square Theatre!
