The official Macon County Relay for Life event isn’t scheduled to take place until July 21-22, 2017, but preparations are already underway. In support of the upcoming walk, a special kick-off event will be happening on Tuesday, Feb. 21: Cubs vs. Cards Trivia Night.
The fun outing will be held at the RCC Shilling Community Education Center in Decatur from 5:30-7 p.m. All are welcome to come, and for just $25 a team, you and a group of friends can participate in the evening’s trivia contest. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a snack competition, learn about initiatives to help end cancer and gear up for the official Relay for Life event in July.
If you’re interested in taking part in this upcoming event and want to learn more about Relay for Life, visit the official event site or email crystal.sewell@cancer.org. Presented by the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life is an event designed to raise money for cancer research and honor loved ones who are currently battling or have lost their battle to cancer. We’d like to encourage everyone in the community to join together in support of this worthy cause.
Together we can make a difference.
