What is the Toyota Camry Maintenance Schedule?

To get as many years and miles out of your Camry as possible, you will need to bring your car in for service at a professional Toyota service center. Toyota Camry service intervals generally occur in 15,000 mile or 30,000-mile increments. Service for the Camry technically starts around 8,000 miles with the first oil change. From there, you can consult your owner's manual or ask a Toyota technician to recommend a Toyota Camry maintenance schedule for your model. Service for the Camry generally includes the items below.

15,000-Mile Service

When the Camry gets to 15,000 miles on the odometer, it will get a brief checkup to ensure all of its interior and exterior components are in good condition. A Toyota mechanic evaluates the tires to make sure each one is inflated to the correct level. The tires are also balanced and rotated if needed. The Camry will be approaching its second oil change and will likely either have the oil levels topped off or new oil added. The engine's filter might be cleaned or changed.

30,000-Mile Service

When the Camry goes in for its second service, its tires will be rotated and balanced again, and it will have additional oil added to the tank or new oil added all together. If your car has a cabin air filter, it will be replaced with a fresh filter as well. A mechanic will look at the brakes on your car to make sure they're not worn out or have other problems such as corrosion, leaks, and rust. The exterior lights are inspected, along with the windshield wipers, to ensure your Camry is safe inside and out. The hoses and belts are also checked.

60,000-Mile Service

Along with the items above, your Camry will have a few additional services at 60,000 miles. At this mileage point, your Camry may need a new battery. Most batteries last about four to five years, which translates to 50,000 or 60,000 miles. The Camry may also need new spark plugs, which are important for making sure the engine is as smooth and efficient as possible. The cables and wires throughout the car are inspected for signs of corrosion or excessive wear and tear.

90,000-Mile Service

When your Toyota hits 90,000 miles it will need some more service, including new engine and transmission fluid. The windshield wipers are checked, and the Camry may get fresh windshield wiper fluid. The car will get new engine coolant fluid, and it may get spark plugs.
