What's New For the 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser?

The Land Cruiser is one of Toyota's most recognizable and reliable models. The series itself has been around since the 1950s and has long been a hit among families.

Back in 2016, Toyota decided to apply a wide range of updates to the Land Cruiser. The car maker aimed to heighten the Land Cruiser's appeal by adding 8-speed transmission and placing more emphasis on turning the vehicle into a functional entertainment hub for the frequent traveler.

Evidently, the folks over at Toyota remain pleased with those improvements.Going year over year from 2018, nothing of note has changed in the 2019 Land Cruiser. In many cases, that kind of stagnation could be seen as a negative. However, given the impressive capabilities of the 2018 Land Cruiser, there is truly nothing wrong with Toyota opting to run things back with the 2019 model.

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser Interior

2019 Land Cruiser and its Powerful Features

Focusing first on the interior of the Land Cruiser, one would be remiss not to draw attention to the sophisticated instrument panel mounted front and center. It provides you with access to all the connected entertainment and navigation features. The screen features a user-friendly interface. Go through it a few times before taking the Land Cruiser on the road and the commands will soon come naturally. Particularly worth noting is the Enhanced Multi-Terrain Monitor. The aforementioned feature plays well into the identity of the Land Cruiser as an excellent vehicle to take for off-road expeditions. Make frequent use of the Multi-Terrain Monitor to remain keenly aware of your surroundings at all times.

Multi-Terrain Select is similarly helpful outdoors. This feature allows for quickly changing the Land Cruiser's settings to optimize its performance for a specific type of outdoor environment. The included climate control features are meant to keep everyone inside the vehicle comfortable regardless of the conditions beyond the doors. They will come in handy as well for outdoor adventures. Seating remains no issue. It is possible to seat eight people comfortably. Fold up the seats and open up enough more than 81 cubic feet of cargo capacity. JBL speakers are also onboard and they will provide you with high-quality audio.

Engine and Performance

It's a beast of an engine and one that is capable of propelling the vehicle through challenging terrain safely or through more conventional roads and ways with incredible ease. The 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque made available to drivers enables them to more easily maneuver this gargantuan vehicle. That's hugely important when the Land Cruiser is asked to work outdoors, but then again, being nimble on city roads is also quite helpful. Rely on the 8-speed automatic transmission. It will make the shifts necessary to ensure that the passengers enjoy smooth rides regardless of how bumpy the roads become.

Advance Safety Gear

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser Exterior RearBecause it is designed to excel off-road, car-makers have included features on the 2019 Land Cruiser that are meant to keep the cabin as steady as it can be. Sudden shifts from one side to another are rarely felt and passengers remain comfortably in place in their designated seats. Sharp turns on rough terrain are also easier with the aid of Crawl Control. When driving on city roads, the installed Pre-Collision Detection system will alert you to any nearby pedestrians. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control allows drivers to relax for a while on predictable roads. Steel beams have been installed on all doors of the Land Cruiser to minimize the impact of any vehicle that strikes it from the side. Children on board are kept safely and securely seated with the help of the LATCH feature. The 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser is an updated version of an iconic vehicle and it is also one that is a joy to take anywhere, with even the roughest terrain not posing a threat to it.
