Toyota’s small i-TRIL concept car made its grand debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Designed by Toyota Motors Europe, the electric car, equipped to seat three passengers, is an innovative take on the future of mobility in suburban towns.

At just 9 feet, 3 inches long, the Toyota i-TRIL concept is extremely compact. Its small stature makes it easy to maneuver and park in highly populated areas. In addition to its length, the car weighs just 1,300 pounds. The model also comes with front tires that lean up to 10 degrees to promote stability and close-set rear tires that remain perpendicular. Active Lean technology is used to help the car make its way around corners, and an indicator light even lets passengers know which way the car is leaning.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find Alcantara upholstery, a head-up display and comfortable seating (a driver’s seat in the front and a bench in the back). The car also offers autonomous driving capabilities and delivers a 124-mile driving range. Due to the use of drive-by-wire technology, which controls the acceleration and braking, the car also omits brake pedals, providing more legroom for the driver.
While the i-TRIL concept is quite impressive, we do not know if Toyota has plans to produce the model. Keep an eye out for future information on our blog.
